My granddaughter went to have her dog euthanatized and it was the worse I have ever dealt with. The vet is in a wheel chair and couldn't do what she was to do. He couldn't get the needle in the vein and when she did she couldn't even push the plunger to inject the medicine. Her daughter was wonderful and did what she could and felt extremely bad putting my granddaughter the drama that was going on because her mother wasn't able to do it properly. We took our nearly 14 year old dog in to be put down today. Very traumatizing experience. Apparently, the regular vet who sees clients wasn't working due to her illness but several others were there seeing patients. When we called we were given an appointment 3 hours out even though we told them our dog was failing terribly. When we arrived, we were taken to a room with meds scattered everywhere.
