Dr. Fries and his staff are the best! I have been with Hillcrest for over 40 years. During that time, I have seen the staff come and go, and they have always been kind and caring. If they weren't, they didn't last long. I wish Dr. Fries could be cloned! He is gentle, patient and kind. All vets could take a lesson from this man. In the world of animals he is a SAINT!
Misdiagnosed my dog. Zero customer service skills and in the days of Corona, sadly, are endangering people and other staff with their negligence and ineptness. I have never had an experience like this in all my life! It was the worst. They are the worst! The filthiest facility I have ever been to on top of everything else. Zero stars worthy. Just disgusting. Mimi and Diane and Dr. F, you STINK!
Stay away from this place. The doctor lacks compassion and empathy and is not above charging for procedures unlikely to be helpful. I was so angry when I took my severely injured dog there. He gave a big estimate and we asked when they'll start working on him he said "we'll work him in when we have time". Are you kidding?? How do you not prioritize a little dog that was attacked by two German shepherds and bleeding on your table?? Bad Doctor!! My two cats and I have always had good experiences with the staff and Dr. Fries. I've always trusted the pet medical professionals at Hillcrest Pet Hospital to treat all animals with lots of TLC. This was always true until my cat's last visit about 2 weeks ago. As usual, my cat and I were warmly welcomed. There was a dog, Charity ahead of us with her owner. The dog had been in discomfort and in some pain. Dr. Fries Is Great! As others have already said, Dr. Fries and his staff provide amazing care for animals. I've delt with Dr. Fees too and I have to say that although he absolutely does know his stuff, his doggie bedside manner isn't nearly as good as Dr. Fries.
i have been going there for some time now and i love and respect the care and compasion the staff and doctors take. I think that the woman who had the dog pass away is a sad thing to have happened but maybe if she would have taken more care sooner there wouldnt have been a death involved. Also i think she fabracated the story bc i know the staff and they would never say such things as what she put in here.
Best pet care ever I have had the best experience with the staff at Hillcrest. It was Dr. Fries who first dealt with my cat with FIP with great compassion and understanding. He and the office staff have been so supportive through the years. I have had three cats and three dogs under their care and have never had any doubts or worries with the care. I will never take my animals there again. I took my dog in there because he was throwing up. Dr Fees barely cared about checking him out. In fact, when I called back later that afternoon, the doctor prescribed a pill to make my dog stop throwing up. That night, we took my dog to the studio city er vet, were he had to be hospitalized because his stomach was filled. The next day, my dog had surgery, but I had to end up putting him to sleep.
