I don't understand the bad reviews. Sure it's not as nice as the nova down the road but you get what you pay for. Good bed and has everything you need just a bit of age really don't see anything wrong with it. Friendly staff and no bed bugs. This place deserves better reviews people are just expecting a brand new room for half the price.
Absolutely disgusting motel!! Pulled sheets down and was full of food crumbs/hair. Other crew members founds rotten moldy eggs in refrigerator. Empty pop bottles in rooms. Definitely would rather sleep in vehicle before I would sleep in this motel.
I was travelling to the Manning area and got into town pretty late, and wanted a place to sleep for the night. I didn't want to spend a fortune just on a nights sleep. Admittedly, the reviews for the Hillcrest were stacked against it.... but for the price I thought I'd give it a try. The owner (who spoke very good english!!) came to the door at 11:30 pm, and booked me into a single for literally half the price of the other motel on the other end of town.
