Susan R*** was the second G.A.L. for my daughter's custody case and trial. After someone went to the court house and changed my address to a city and address that I have never lived at in my life and I feel Susan had some input with this but that is hard to prove. I am so sad and disappointed with my experience with this law firm. 3+ years of miscommunication, charging for things that were never used in court, two charges for “trial” when I never went to trial the first time and I didn’t have a fair and honest trial the second. Constant mess ups in the parenting plan. Customer service has always been nice but my case was not represented the way it should have been. I had 2 different cases stuck with USCIS for over 2 years. The wise advice of an Hightower Reff Law lawyer helped me to better understand the situation, to save the costs of going to court, and to take steps which quickly produced concrete results. I really appreciate the quality of service which is worth its weight in gold.
I was happy with the attorney that helped me. Less satisfied with the paralegal that helped her. I was charged for information that was asked of me when my attorney already had that info. And when I say charged, they charged for every email. Which is fine, but when it's their fault they should take those off! There were other issues as well. Very inexperienced and unprofessional. After wasting $8,000 and a year of my time, my divorce attorney accomplished nothing. She did basic verification of the income information I had already provided, and that's it. Just stamped her name on stuff and charged me an arm and a leg to waste my time. I literally had to hire a new attorney to take over my case because she was so incompetent and unable to do her job. Unless you want to hemorrhage money to accomplish nothing more than a headache, steer clear. Worst experience ever.
