Initially made this review a 3 star since I love the medical high roads I go to in Burnaby. The receptionist are kind easy going and very understanding of miscommunication or errors. I called the west Kelowna by accident and the receptionist was very rude. She was not understanding in any way and when she asked for my name I told her and then respectfully said that I did state it carefully at the beginning of the conversation. I am so thankful and happy for all the support we as a family of 6 are getting!!! Dr. Cloete is our family doctor, which takes time to listen, takes our concerns serious and explains it with patience. He has big knowledge. We switched from a Kelowna doctors office to his about 6 years ago and I can truly say that the whole atmosphere and office has changed ever since. Dr Verster or Ferster , amazing doctor , but the admin staff and the clinic manager Shelly some of the rudest people I’ve spoken to since I moved to the okanagan, I think they forget they work in public service sector and really don’t care about people’s health . Was not able to even get a sentence out before the rude manager cut me off and spoke over me to say they can’t help me , the doctor said he would take on my daughter and we registered her but still the manager continued to tell me that was 3 years ago things change ... read more
My husband and I moved to Vernon in the spring of 2022 from the lower mainland. There were no doctors in Vernon accepting new patients. My daughter was at Highroads already and told us that Dr Cloete was accepting new patients. We feel very grateful and blessed to have him as our doctor and it is so worth driving in from Vernon. Dr Cloete is very kind and smart and quick to order tests for us that we can do in Vernon. He takes his time with us and we don't feel rushed during our visit. Like the ADHD baby that I am along with perfectionist I was late to my appointment because I wanted to help out at my job so I showed up to my 20 minute long appointment 15 minutes late… You might be wondering wow you’re horrible.
