In typical health insurance fashion, they will look for any reason to deny your doctor's prior authorization. In my case, it was due to a minor paperwork error. Health insurance bureaucrats should not be able to override your doctor.
What a mess this company is. I tried to call in to find out more information on the most expensive plan they had on NY ACA portal and got routed to a call center in PA. Its no wonder they have a 0/5 quality rating. Skipping all their products.
You have to fight through AI in order to get through to a human and that was not always the case with Blue Cross Blue shield. It's extremely unfortunate as I feel as if most of the time when I'm trying to reach out and ask a sincere question about my health care I literally have to fight with AI to not share private health and medical data with AI. Horrible- had MRSA - they denied the antibiotic; husband needs hip MRI- weeks later no approval. They keep saying it’s with the medical director meanwhile he screams in pain multiple times each day. Website has constant errors, can’t log in to check. Never works and no number listed. Absolutely disgusted by this company,
Insurance company is such a scam. I pay so much through my work each week to their plan and a doctors appointment is $280!!!!!!! And I’m stuck with it for a year.
