came to Hilite Nail Studio to have my acrylic nails removed, and I left with one of my real nails broken in half and bleeding. Instead of safely soaking off the acrylics, the technician initially tried to force another acrylic tip underneath to remove it—an aggressive and unsafe method. My friend and I visited this salon yesterday and had a very disappointing experience. We were really looking forward to it because of the great reviews and the amazing job they did on my friend’s nails during her last visit. But this time, the service felt rushed and unprofessional. My nails and fingers actually started to burn during the appointment, and my friend was treated poorly for simply asking them to use the correct colour from her inspo photo. The service was good and David was very friendly. I’m very particular with my nails and they came out stunning. I explained I prefer a natural look and not bulky nor thick. Requested shellac overlay rounded square shape and it was perfect. The reason I didn’t give him a 5, is because it is older salon and the aesthetics is blah. Nor does it come with any luxurious perks, that you may find at some of the newer nail salons.
