I dined with a couple of friends After an event on Monday afternoon in Highlands. The ambience is nice -It’s an historic old cabin. Our server was eager to please and did a good job. We ate there twice. The elk was excellent. The roasted chicken was ok though twice as much as needed. But the limping susan and collards were so hot and spicy they were inedible.
Lovely atmosphere with low lit rooms in an old cabin. A lot of windows and the food was excellent! Cornbread leaves a lot to be desired (dry) but the rest of the menu is delish!!!
So glad to have this restaurant back in Highlands!
My husband and I went for a lovely dinner there and were very disappointed. First off I had the pork chop, which I could’ve cut with a axe! Not a knife. It had no flavor at all. Had the biscuits as an appetizer Don’t bother they were not worth it. He ordered a whiskey sour which came in a martini glass I mean, who serves a whiskey sour in a martini glass.
