We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy local hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and were incredibly friendly throughout our visit. We especially loved the morning coffee and delicious homemade banana bread — such a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and comfortable, and we truly enjoyed every minute of our time there. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and welcoming place to stay!
Just enjoyed a fabulous Mother’s Day brunch at The Ruffed Grouse Tavern. The food is always fabulous, but even better is the warm and friendly atmosphere created by a team who obviously enjoy what they do. Staff make you feel so special, whether you’re there for a special occasion or just a drop in visit. So happy to see Danielle back for the summer; she’s the best. We always love time spent at HMH! The Ruffed Grouse has great food & drinks. The live music in the tavern is amazing! The staff is incredible & they always take great care of us. I highly recommend this being your home base for exploring Highlands.
We absolutely love The Highlander Mountain House. Perfect place for a relaxing mountain weekend. Love the old house, the style is perfect, rooms are beautiful and clean. Employees are both wonderful and terrible but I love the place enough to overlook it. We will continue to come back every year!!
