Nice but the dirt bike and motorized scooter people have to go. People need to watch there children a little more. It is a great place to walk work out and play tennis basketball.
Such a beautiful park to be at with family, kids or friends. Sad to say that the park is becoming a place for this teens and adults to go run in their motorcycles in a place where kids are playing or riding their bikes. I had such a bad and scary experience with my daughter whom almost got ran-over by 2 people riding electric bikes/motorcycles in a area that there are not supposed to be any bikes running. Highland Park was established on land acquired by the City of Brooklyn starting in 1856. This land was originally purchased to construct the Ridgewood Reservoir, which was completed in 1858. The City of Brooklyn later purchased the surrounding land for park purposes in 1891. Construction and major improvements to the park grounds occurred between 1901 and 1906.
