I fully agree with the low rated review below. We’ve lived here for a year now. It’s our second home purchase, but Highland leaves much to desire. Our home was an inventory home so we didn’t have the chance to inspect at each stage of build. Like many new homes, there have been several issues needing addressed (plumbing, fixtures, windows, framing etc). My wife and I closed on our 216 model at the end of October. I will say that everything went exponentially better than we thought it could. Starting with our Sales Counselor, Thea Harrison, the process started on a good track. She was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We asked for a couple of customizations (specific lot, walls moved, etc.) and she accommodated each of requests after a “let me see what I can do”. Save your money and DO NOT buy a highland home. They are overpriced and poor workmanship. Additionally, they do not fix work orders timely or state that it is not included in warranty despite stating there is a 1 year warranty wall to wall. Sloppy work on the interior and exterior. This is the grass we received on move on. Holes in the wood on island that they won’t fill. Chipped wood around the lights they won’t fix. Paint is matte which is the cheapest, not cleanable. This house cost 730+ and is worth MAYBE 500.
