I have taken my pets here for over 30 years. Everyone who works here is really great. Their pricing is very reasonable. I give them my highest recommendation!
The most unprofessional Experience In a life-threatening situation. Today my dog bloat and knowing that time is of the essence, I raced my dog to this hospital. Upon entering the immediately gaslit me asking if he had just eaten something. I told them that he had all the classic symptoms of bloat and they said well we can do X-ray, to be sure. Dr. Tara is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares. She even followed up after the visit which meant a lot. I felt comfortable the entire time. They were so gentle with my dog and spoke to her like she was their own. Everyone at highland animal hospital went above and beyond. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for compassionate and trustworthy care.
This clinic completely failed me when my pet needed care. You deserve a vet who supports you—not one who pushes you away the moment things get slightly complicated. Their reasoning was not logical, medically appropriate, or client-centered. Hiding behind “we haven’t seen him in a couple years” is not a valid medical justification to turn away a sick animal. Beyond disappointed in recent care from Highland Vet. I’ve been a customer with multiple pets for 30+ years but no one could see my distressed senior dog “any time during an entire week” when she was actively bleeding from her mouth.
