My God daughter married her forever there and it was pouring and cold but they really went out of their way to make people feel good and I had seen the venue on one of her walk throughs and it’s a very beautiful place. Family oriented
Higher Ground is a magnificent venue for weddings and events. They have a gorgeous Victorian era home where you can rent rooms with a delicious meal prepared by the owner. The view is unmatched, sitting atop one of the highest points in White County. They also have a refurbished barn, a pavilion, a binzebo, a smokehouse and endless possibilities for photo ops. My nonprofit organization uses the groom’s quarters in the house for weekly Bible study.
Beautiful spot for any occasion, but especially for a wedding. Several options for a ceremony, plenty of room for dining, and a fantastic area for dancing!
If I could leave 0 stars I would! They canceled the event we were planning for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary without contacting us to have an event that would make them more money. This had been planned and agreed upon the year prior! This is not the first time they have canceled on others without notice either! DO NOT RECOMMEND
It was perfect for Keefy Kannafest 2024.
