We had a great all around experience at Higher Ground. We opted for the a la carte menu and were happy with each and every item we ordered. The menu had a wide variety of unique items that would fit anyone's palette well. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and the service as well. It's clear why this is consistently ranked as one of Manchester's best restaurants.
Delicious food, lovely service
For the price of this meal the food is no where near satisfactory. Most dishes tasted very bland and just not tasty. It looks and feels like a high end restaurant but the moment you taste the food you are disappointed. We ordered the tasting menu and not a single dish matched my expectations or was very enjoyable. So overall, service was really good but the food isn’t even close to matching the expectation based on the price.
