I had a great stay at Highbrook Motel. It's just a couple of miles from both Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor, and the Island Explorer shuttle bus stops right next to the motel, making it easy to get around without driving. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe throughout my stay. Check-in is simple and convenient. This was, beyond a doubt, the best motel experience I have had. The check-in process was completely contact-free, with the room number and door code texted the day of arrival. The room was spacious, SO CLEAN, and an Island Explorer ride away from everything we came to see. The complimentary breakfast was delivered to the door with a light knock, and it was everything we needed to fuel ourselves for a day of hiking. The location is perfect, just 10–15 minutes from Acadia National Park and 5 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. The hotel has a beautiful modern vintage vibe, was spotless, and felt very safe. The self check-in/check-out was seamless, and the staff was incredibly responsive over text whenever we needed anything. Such a refreshing hotel experience, we had the best stay. Highly recommend.
Super clean rooms and the attention to detail was impressive. Dunkin Donut kcups, creamer provided in the fridge, the little welcome room fully stocked, an umbrella provided in case of rain, the shade over the windows on the door, and the FREE BREAKFAST! The food was delicious and plenty of gluten free options - I highly recommend the gluten free blueberry muffin and the oatmeal with cranberries and walnuts. Wed 10th June 2026. Just left after spending 3 nights. Great rooms, lovely breakfast delivered to your door at a chosen time. Lots of nice touches free water, soft drinks, coffee, tea & cookies. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Perfect location for a nice stroll into town. A great family run business. Thank you Adam for making our stay memorable.
