Noisy neighbors and when you read the lease agreement, it states basically that they cannot and will not do anything about noise. Old wooden subfloors that pop and crack. Loud water pipes - you know every time your neighbors are in the bathroom. Not the best place to live.
My only complaint is creaky floors!! The people who live above us go in very early for work and we are awakened each morning at 4:00 by the floors creaking and popping. There are several large dogs in our building which do bark on occasion but that can be tolerated. The creaky floors are a negative - probably cause for a move at end of lease.
