Mosquitoes are no joke in summer, bring spray. Trails are marked but can get confusing in spots. Parking lot at Nevada Ave. Quiet, peaceful, totally worth the trip.
High Rock Park is an absolute gem. It’s the perfect place to escape the noise and enjoy some quiet time in nature. The trails are beautiful and well-maintained—a true 5-star experience for hikers and families alike.
Easily one of the best spots for a real hike on Staten Island. The terrain here is actually hilly, so you can get a decent workout compared to the flatter parks nearby. It feels like you're upstate rather than in the city. The trails are mostly clear, but bring bug spray in the summer!
Nice, clean spot to sit down for a quick breakfast. It wasn't crowded, so I didn't have to wait at all. The donuts were fresh and the staff was friendly. A comfortable place to start the day without the rush.
Ideal spot to park if you have kids or gear. It's paved and right next to the main paths, so you aren't dragging coolers or strollers over rough ground. Makes the start of the trip much easier.
