In the recent weeks I’ve had two opportunities to purchase items at High Point Scientific (HPS). They offer a comprehensive selection of astronomical gear including hard to find cables for telescopes. In both purchases I had to engage with there online help system. I would like to share about my recent experience with purchasing a Barlow lens and the needed adaptors. I went ahead and made the order, and received it. Once I opened up the equipment, I wondered if I had purchased the wrong thing. So I sent in my query to High Point and explained what my problem was to the Gear Expert I had been working with. I recently bought a new scope and was having trouble connecting it with my camera. I called on a Saturday and spoke to David Grant. He started a ticket and I was able to upload photos of all of the adapters I had. He then called me to explain the issue and determined I was missing the pieces I needed. Because I had already placed 2 separate orders that week, he graciously offered me free shipping for the 2 adapters if I couldn’t find them after searching the house over the weekend.
