Horrible service, decent food – Specifically made a reservation for a sunset dining experience and arrived on time but then waited half an hour in the bar unable to see the view before we were given a table. The host had a very snobby attitude and the table we were seated at had a large beam obstructing the view of the sunset. We had to get up and go outside to view the sunset. The server lacked hospitality skills and overlooked the fact that we had no drinks, failed to tell us about the items on the menu they were out of (i... read more
Editorial Review – Upscale bistro at top of Sandia Peak serves seafood, meat and pasta in a romantic setting overlooking the Cibola National Forest.
decent food, worst service – First the good, great views (if you're into landscape photo it's got some great opportunities), neat tram ride, and the food was pretty decent. The bad, possibly one of the worst wait staffs I've experienced for a place that charges 20-30 dollars a plate. Very unprofessional wait staff, ours was a kid still in college who I think was on his very first job in a restaurant. Taking away unfinished salads so he could make room for entrees, not even filling up water glasses, not taking away empty cock... read more
Tourist Trap – I don't see how anyone can expect good food from such a touristy place. People will come anyway, so I'm not surprised that the food tastes prefab, reheated, and just awful. Face it, this is basically the only place to eat on the mountain, so what is their incentive to actually serve great food? On the plus side, the service and beer were good.
View is worth everything! – Great restaurant and the best way to see Albuquerque and the rest of the state pretty much. Great place to take out of town family and the food is awesome. Very good value for what you get to see and do, nothing like it. Once you are up at the top, you can take your time and look all over Albuquerque and the other side of the mountain, take pictures, etc. - you don't have to eat right away. Anywhere else they would charge much more for this type of restaurant and view, so I consider it a great dea... read more
Petzefns – One of the few places we will always return to - tho the food is not quite as special as it used to be. For the price, an excellent value. Service and seating always pleasant, cooperative. SIT IN THE D RING - best view.
OK, but not great – Unless they've seriously upgraded their food, all you pay for here is the view, which by the way is fabulous. The food is over-priced and over-rated, and there are so many other better choices. My advice? Eat elsewhere, and have a sunset cocktail at this place. The sunset + drink ambiance is the best.
Nice, but not worth the $$ – There is indeed a great view from the restaurant, which makes it pretty romantic. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the dishes were unremarkable, especially for how expensive they were. Nice for a special occasion, but too expensive for everyday eating out.
Great sunset – Very good service and great wine selection, with the sun set in the background makes a great date night start of a wonderful evening for Albuquerque.
