I had a great experience with Maya! She helped so much! Me and my baby had so many issues wheb it came to nursing, it felt like a lost cause! After a few sessions with Maya we were able to turn that around and figure out how to properly nurse!
Maya is an amazing source of information and support. I visited Maya at what I thought was the end of my breastfeeding journey with severe pain. My baby’s weight was slowing and I was stressing and scared before each feed because of the incredible pain I was in. I sought help from the consultants at the hospital I delivered in and was told that breast feeding is painful and it would get better. Maya is an amazing lactation consultant! I made an appointment with her right after I had my daughter to ensure I was latching properly. Maya was very caring, thorough and helpful! She made me feel very comfortable and answered all of my questions/concerns around breast feeding. My daughter is now just over 3 months and I have been able to exclusively breast feed her with no issues. Highly recommend Maya!
The support I received from Maya for both of my babies was paramount to the amount of effort and intention my husband and I put into our decision to feed them human milk as long as possible. I cannot say enough about both the nursing nook and the low or no cost lactation services that HCLC offers. Maya is a skilled provider who never stops learning, strives to make sure she's seeing the whole family and whole breastfeeding dyad relationship, and she does so wholeheartedly. Thank you, Maya!
