I had my solar system installed by Hielscher Electrical many years ago, and recently had them back to upgrade it with a battery and more solar panels. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made! Our neighbour recommended these guys so we engaged them for a solar quote. Quote was straight forward but I insisted we needed a site visit as our house wasn’t cookie cutter. Took weeks to get a site visit then over a month of chasing them asking what the next step was only to be told it went into the too hard basket.. wasted two months of our time and couldn’t even ring to apologise. Definitely steer away and go to an installer who knows what they’re doing.
Had an installation done using the panels and battery system they recommended. Everything was good. Wanted a fourth battery which was paid for and when the installer came he saw one of the original 2 year old batteries was faulty so he replaced it with the new one I bought. Cost $3k. There was also a fault with the reporting board on the battery system. He notified Redback who were the battery units manufacturer and after 3 weeks they got back to me offering a replacement of the whole system. I agreed, sent off relevant info... read more
