My mom and I took a trip to the Hidee Mine on one of my visits to Colorado. This was a couple years ago but we had Rusty as our guide and he was so knowledgeable, entertaining, and informative. The mine was quite chilly, but was an amazing experience. It’s very neat learning about the history of mining in the area and about how the mines were created. We had a good time in the mine! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all things mining related and we scored a history lesson as well. Easy to find on Google maps, beautifully nestled quiet area, family friendly. Even though we did not have our kids with us it was very enjoyable!
It was nice to see the original mining equipment. the guide we had has worked as a miner so he was able to answer questions using his experience.
