I think it's unfair that this company can file a judgement against someone and cause them to lose everything
My license was suspended *****. I just found out searching for cheaper Insurance. I sent numerous emails and faxed and returned all documents I was sent. Every person who was my socalled representative is no longer there! 3 of them I have gone through. I offered a settlement and never received a response nor was I offered a payment plan to resolve this issue. I never receive a letter from *********** or this firm advising me my license was suspended. I am now sueing this firm for illegal actions in the ****************
I have a debt that is 13 years old, and have been working with Hiday and Ricke to make payments on this debt. In January the engine in my semi truck went out preventing me from making payments. I was out of work for 10 weeks, not including the hefty repair bill I received. Not once during the time of not making a payment did I not answer the phone. I did not avoid their phone calls. I repeatedly let the company know that as soon as we were back up on our feet and working again I would make the payment. Hiday and Ricke took m... read more
Business response:
We understand that the collection of money owed is a sensitive issue. Our firm’s standard procedure is to try and work out payment arrangements based on an individual’s ability to pay before using legal remedies, such as garnishments, which are permissible by state law and a right afforded to our clients. The fact that we do not file garnishments as a first resort speaks to our firm’s belief that ALL parties are better served if reasonable payment arrangements can be established. We also realize that life throws a few curves... read more
i can say that I do feel that some of the statements by other to be true. no one from this company has ever been rude to me but the way the process was done to me were the same. first off no one will be happy when your money you work for is just taken by the bank that you felt was there for you it does hurt. I do think the way the laws are made when it comes to debt collecting are shady and unfair at best. I say this because I do believe that if a product was not paid for in full the business should be in titled to that mone... read more
Business response:
Because of strict Federal privacy laws, we are unable to directly respond to complaints on a public forum. It is often frustrating for those that have judgments entered against them when judgment remedies take place. We represent our clients, the original creditors, the best we can with ethical ideals while working with other parties.
This law firm issued a garnishment on my bank account without prior notice. I had a care that was repossess and quickly sold at an auction for way less that the value of the car. Fidelity bank sued me for the remaining portion of the loan, they hired two law firms one stayed in constant communication with me the other which is Hiday & Ricke did not the other case was dismissed but hiday did not. I received a letter post marked May 8 2017 when the judgement was rendered January 06, 2017. The garnishments started on May 05, 20... read more
Business response:
unfortunately, due to the strict consumer privacy laws, we are unable to directly comment on a complaint of this nature. I have personally reviewed the matter and am confident that Hiday & Ricke strictly complied with all related laws and procedures in this case. It is often frustrating to folks that have judgments entered against them, but our job is to represent our clients, in this case the judgment creditor. We do that with the highest ethical standards and to the best of our ability.
This Collection FIRM needs to adhere to policies regarding SOL. They are notorious for TRYING to scare folks into paying other people's debts. They are also notorious for sending VAGUE letters to victims who are unaware of their rights under the law. Sending out letters with no Creditors name, amount due, pay statements is just ridiculous at best. I received a letter from them and have no clue what they are talking about. There's a case # attached and all. I have no debt. I've never been sued. They have lost their minds.
Business response:
Federal privacy laws dramatically limit what we can say about the person who filed this complaint, or the circumstances in this case. We completely dispute her factual comments because they are simply not true. The public record shows clearly that these "facts" are false. She is welcome to call our office to discuss this matter but we are not allowed to call her.
