Staff can take weeks to get back to you if you have any questions. To the extent that my loan was delayed several weeks due to their inability to communicate about requirements of the build.
I wouldn’t recommend these people at all! Paid a $3000 deposit to be told the plan no longer meets building requirements (fair enough) but they also won’t make changes to bring it up to code. Will not refund our deposit even though it’s out of our hands and is their choice to not build our home. We can of course choose one of hickinbotham’s designs (including statesman and sa housing) but no changes are able to be made and we would have to pay an extra $1000 deposit! I am building new home in Riverlea. I would NEVER recommend anyone building with this company. Communication is disgusting by sales man. He gave me wrong information about construction start time. He said to me our all plains are already aproved by Riverlea and Council. After selection our compny hickinbotham start construction within few week. My son Building new home with Hickinbotham at riverlea south Australia. Hickinbotham has been nothing but harassment and disappointment. The office staff are extremely unhelpful and refuse to provide me with the contact details of my site supervisor, making every inquiry a long and stressful process. Brickwork started over four months ago, and to this day only one wall is partially complete. Progress is painfully slow, and the main excuse is a shortage of bricklayers. Recently finished building a house with Hickinbotham, was a great experience. We are extremely happy with the end result of the build. We would definitely choose to build with them again
