Overpriced. Below average food. Angry management! – I would rate zero stars if they let me. We were there last night. The concept is very dated; this is the exact same show and food as BeniHana was serving in the 1980s. By the end of the night we heard the same jokes and skit from the cooks at least 5 times at different tables. It wasn't that funny the first time, and by the end of the night we couldn't wait to leave. Our party was a family of 4. Good Food...ok sushi – Enjoyed the food. I also had so sushi and was nothing compared to Suehiro. Good service and very friendly employees.
Noisy and crowded – We've frequented Japanese restuarants around the country and although the food was prepared nicely we were not overwelmed by the 'show'. We wating forever and the staff in the waiting area/bar were not of much help. Overall we ended up paying a lot to be frustrated. Hibatchi may be a special occasian place but it is not a great value. Suehiro's in FC has much better ambiance, better prices and food, but without the 'show' at the table. Gasho House in Denver is worth the trip for this kind of dining. Benih... read more
come for the entertainment, not the food – I've visited the ft collins hibachi a couple of times and have always enjoyed the preparation. The cooks are the most entertaining of all the japanese steakhouse-type restaurants I've experienced. The food they prepare is, at best, merely adequate- its bland and contains way too much butter. The sushi is bad- if the sushi at Sonoda's in Denver is a 10, Hibachi's sushi is, in my opinion, a 3.
