Hiawatha Log Homes was recommended by our builder because he had worked with them twenty years ago, and the reviews were good online. Unfortunately they were very difficult to work with. We paid $1000 up front, which we were supposed to get back as a deposit on our logs after the blueprint was finished. I really wanted to like this experience. However, we were led to believe by a hard-selling sales person there that we would have all expenses covered with our purchase relative to the outer "shell" of the cabin. We ended up paying ~$78K just for the logs and then had to find a builder who then invoiced us for all of the actual labor. If I had known, I would have gone directly through the builder. I feel duped here. They also owe me money for a refund that we have not received yet over a year later.

Good customer service. I had to travel a long distance to pick up materials for a rush job we were working on and they stayed after hours to help me load, greatly appreciated.
