Horrible place. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds. The room was small but the bathroom was even worse. The door opened only about 10 inches and then was stopped by the toilet. My son fit through but both adults and my daughter couldn’t. Apparently you need to be toothpicks to use it. If you have the smallest tummy sticking out you aren’t getting in. I informed them that I can’t stay in a room without a washroom. They said they only have a one bed room left. I said we are 4 and there is no way we can share one bed. The kid... read more

All I can say is there are other hotels available take it, this should be your last resort

We got to town almost 11pm the person before us got the last room we were offered an emergency room. Excellent service the room was very clean no tv in the emergency room but all we needed was sleep thank you so much highly recommend this spot!

Front desk clerk was professional, kind and deeply welcoming. I haven't been back to Portage in 31 years and he took time to answer local questions I had and was concise and detailed regarding places to eat, attractions and the more questionable parts of my hometown I missed over the years. Got us a room fast. The room was cleaned, felt like home, and had a wonderful AC that kept us cool in the Manitoba sun. Beds were so comfortable with the most perfect pillows.
