A little expensive, but the steak is good The food was good but the prices are a little on the expensive side. My sirloin was done just right, and I have no complaints there. I was not super impressed with my salad, for the price I paid for it. If you have a coupon it would be much more worth it.
Great Food We had the Sunday Brunch, very impressed with the atmosphere, menu, tastes, and prices. Service was a little slow, but well worth the wait! Would advise a try, the special menu (online) is a treat.
Came Hungry-Left Disappointed We came up to the HG Bistro from Portland to be with friends hoping to celebrate two birthdays. We had a reservation for the four of us for 7:00pm and requested to be in view of the jazz band. We arrived 10 min. late and were told that our table was just about to be given away. When we were seated, there were at least four empty tables for four, so I don't know why our small delay was a problem. We also were seated in another room away from the band. Wonderful Food & Live Dinner Music Mediterranean-Pacific Northwest-Steak-Pasta and more! It's so nice to see & hear beautiful LIVE music playing while you dine on a Friday or Saturday evening. Both the service and atmosphere were superb.Our waitress helped to recommend a great wine I believe my husband ordered a steak, and I had a house recommended salad with the salmon entree. It, too, was FABULOUS. We lingered for a couple hours listening to the entertainment. -Kudos to Chef and Management!
Adorable Place This is a favorite place of mine to meet friends for lunch. They have really great salads and sandwiches! There is a coffee stand in the front part of the restaurant, so you can order a coffee while you wait for your friends, or order a mocha with your dinner. There is also a little shop inside that sells candles, cards, and things like that. It's very cute. There are many great gift ideas in there.
