After submitting a Patchs requesting a simple 10 minute repeat treatment, a steroid injection in my finger to relieve trigger finger symptoms. I was given an appointment about 3 weeks later! This alone is pathetic, but it's the new reality we patients seem to have to live with. I have been a patient at Heswall and Pensby for a long time now and have never had reason to complain until now. Over the last few months I have found it very difficult to get through to the surgery by phone, the GPs are great but the process to book appointments seems to have become very difficult since the merger

The PATCHS system doesn't seem to work coherently. Apparently this used to be a good surgery until it was taken over by Myrtle Group. The doctors are probably good, if you are able to actually get to see one! Very frustrating and upsetting waiting for phonecalls that never come, prescriptions to be put right and cohesive care. My experience of this practice is very poor.

After 1 hour and 20 minutes of waiting to change an appointment I have eventually put the phone down, the numbers reduced from 7 to 1 which took over an hour, 15 more minutes later I am still waiting. I would not mind but the person that booked my appointment form my patches request had totally ignored I was going on holiday and booked me an appointment whilst I am away. Myself and my family have been patients at this doctors for 5 years and we have only had positive experiences!! I feel so lucky to be able to get a prompt appointment whenever I need. Staff are all really friendly! I’ve been seen by multiple doctors here and they’ve always been very warm, professional and thorough!
