Made a reservation, got here on time, location is closed. What's the point of a reservation? Called customer service and they told me I will get charged more if I were to pick up at a different location. Asked for cancelation and i get hit with a fee. As a loyalty customer for years, I'd be taking my business elsewhere.
The apitamy of customer service is the Hertz Uber rental team. They seamlessly bend over backwards that would make a contortionist jealous. Katherine, Kevin, Abagail and Soledad are always kind, patient and professional and extremely knowledgeable. I can't believe anyone in control of their mental state could even think of giving a negative rating.
Very disappointed with Hertz. After renting for about 9 weeks with no issues, I was suddenly denied due to a “template error” with my driver’s license. My license is valid, active, and confirmed by the DMV, and it works fine with other companies. The problem is clearly with Hertz’s verification system, yet employees refused to manually verify my information and relied only on a scanner that couldn’t recognize my license. My experience with the Uber rental program through Hertz in Beaverton was extremely negative, and the entire system feels exploitative toward drivers. Drivers are paying around $400 per week just to rent the car, plus another $200 or more per week in gas. They also apparently do not offer hybrids, only gas or electric vehicles.
