During my recent usage of Hertz rental cars, I received terrible customer service. First the car we were given was dirty, which was remedied by the crew at SFO. However when we went to return the car at LAX, in accordance with our itinerary, the staff asked for $843.82. This was more than twice what we had been quoted and billed in the beginning of the trip. It was a great experience and I would like to mention few names that helped me a lot that day, Yasir, Feza and the bus driver which I am sorry i didnt get his name. People on the counter need to be a little bit more of an understanding that people coming to visit are not aware of specifics about the city and giving the heads up about certain things can be helpful and save some pain.
I had to wait 45 minutes to leave the parking garage with my Hertz rental in SFO because of a computer problem. Cars were cutting each other off coming from different directions all struggling to get out of the hertz parking area. No one from Hertz did anything about this and I am very disappointed in the service from Hertz. This is not the only incident and it seems as though Hertz service is declining and as a loyal Gold Member I may need to rent from another car company.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. When I couldn't find parking near my place I tried to return to an after-hours drop off location. Long story short it was only till 8 pm and when I called to try and find another I was transferred back into the electronic system by no less than 4 separate agents all of whom told me to "just hang on". A great place to get a rental car or truck in Malibu – Budget in Malibu has great staff and great deals. It is not easy to rent cars or trucks in Malibu and this Budget location has good selection at fair price. If you are moving in/out, their little trucks are quite handy. Get from your postal office a 'change of address' package. You will find a coupon that can save up to 20% on your truck rental.
