In this case, hertz did not properly maintain the vehicle before I rented it, we could have got stuck without proper transportation in Colorado, 2,500 miles from home, in Pa, we did get back by me buying oil and adding a quart a day to get us back home, there’s definitely something wrong with the engine, the car is a 2025, Chevy, practically a brand new car, should not have had oil and engine problems, I reported the situation to the hertz office I rented the car from when we got back on Friday, July 11th, pretty disappointe... read more

I wish I could give a half star. The kind of experience where you’re backed into a corner and they know it and will do everything to bleed you dry wondering what went wrong. This was the only place in the area renting out cars for one way and gouge with double pricing. Initial hiccups were out of his control so I gave benefit of the doubt and apologized for my frustrations knowing it wasn’t his fault. Absolutely horrible. I ordered a reservation i spent 76 bucks to uber there and they had ZERO inventory when the website said they had tons of vehicles available. I had to spend another 76 bucks to uber to a different location. Do not go here go to the hertz in lancaster Marshall ave. At least they have their act together and actually have accurate inventory. York pa Hertz is literally the worst.
