I’m a rewards member for many years. Hertz has always treated me respectfully and made sure I got the car I wanted or they upgraded me.
Avoid this location at all costs. They use an undisclosed '24-hour advance booking' rule that is a total trap for travelers. I had a confirmed reservation for a holiday weekend, but upon arrival, they refused to release the vehicle because it hadn't been 24 hours since the booking—effectively stranding me. This wasn't just a vacation; this disrupted legitimate business operations and travel plans. Probably the worst car rental location on the planet. The most miserable staff member. ‘We run an open booking policy’ - just because you can book it online doesn’t mean I have it. So if you book a rental here don’t expect it to ever be available.
We had rented a car to be picked up on Saturday. Everything in the brochures and the confirmation said they were open on Saturdays. Friday before we left our trip we get a call that they're not open on Saturdays and have not been for months. Now we had to rent a car an extra day which is sitting idle while we wait to leave on Saturdays. If the office is closed on the weekends then that should be transmitted to all the advertising and the brochures and the internet so people are not misinformed.
