For the past 3 years that I have used this location, it's been nothing but "scammy" "shady" practice. I would book and prepay ahead of time through my work benefits so that a car would be set and ready to go for me. Every time I have done this, I am told they are short on cars and the only option is to either upgrade or keep calling back to wait for my car. First off, if your car isn't ready, and offered an upgrade, the upgrade should be free and of no charge. Second, people can't sit around and wait for their car to come in... read more

Likely the worst experience EVER! Considering getting an attorney involved after the man who works at this San Ramon CA location decided it was his day to violate my civil rights and discriminate and harass me and my wife to the point we left this location and immediately went to Enterprise down the street. *(If you read other complaints they are very similar to mine) I cannot say it enough - BUYER BEWARE! Absolutely awful experience with Hertz. I returned my rental on time, but because they failed to check the car in properly, I was charged for three extra days. After over a week of back-and-forth, and being passed between multiple representatives who gave me conflicting information, I finally got the $233 overcharge refunded — but the nightmare didn’t end there.
