Do not rent from this Hertz location (San Ramon - Crow Canyon Place) - Bait and Switch alert! (or the Hertz experience that stole Christmas) I’m writing to share how disappointed I am with my recent experience renting a car during Christmas week. Be warned... I have been a customer of this Hertz for decades. But at some point since our last rental, they implemented a new policy that they don't clean the car- you have to return it fully cleaned (ready to rent) or they will charge you a large cleaning fee. There are some reviews below from people getting hit with this. The rental agent even suggested that they couldn't clean the cars because it was raining (huh?). I dropped the car 2 hours late after lunch I spoke to destiny…terrible cs…the worst with sassy attitude…she hung up on me when I ask her how much if I returned the car 50 % charge battery vs 2 hours after lunch period..she refuse to help me out..good thing I can afford 1 day late of rental…pls manager of all hertz …get rid of this awful cs…she has no place in this industry…I will refer this to all my friends ..terrible cs…pls it’s the holiday..I rented this ev Chevy volt 28 days ago ..for 1 hour late after there lunch…she ch... read more

Do not rent from this location. I just received a call from my insurance about a claim that was placed on a car I rented almost 11 months ago. Not only is the claim completely false, I have been waiting for a call back from a manager at Hertz to clear up the issue. I will be forwarded information to the CA Dept. of Insurance for insurance fraud.

A very rude black woman was behind the desk. We had a confirmed reservation. When we checked in she abruptly said they did not have a car. Just because u make a reservation doesn’t mean we will have one available. All they had was a EV car that would cost more. When I suggested that they honor the price for the car we reserved, she abruptly said we don’t have any cars available even An EV car. Hertz needs to work on their customer satisfaction.
