I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Hertz location. I was charged a $250 cleaning fee simply because there was a small amount of grass and ordinary debris on the vehicle’s floor carpet. The condition could have been cleaned easily with a basic vacuum and did not require professional detailing, special cleaning materials, or the vehicle to be taken out of service. I rented a car on Aug 1 at 9:11 AM, and the car alarmed at 10:15 for maintenance (see attached picture). I called the local store so many times, but the phone rings for 1-2 minutes and hangs up. I called customer support. Finally, right before I reached the airport, I connected. And she didn't offer me any solution, but told me to go to the airport. I hate rental car companies. Renting always gets me anxious about dealing with the loaner car company. Not this time however, satchel was kind polite and quick to process my loaner car. Phew! Renting a Hertz car seemed pretty good. Wow! Thanks for a stress free process!

This was my first time renting from the Hertz Rockville location, and I had a great experience. The employees were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment I arrived. What impressed me most was how quick and easy the entire pickup process was. I’ve rented with Hertz several times, and this was easily the fastest pickup experience I’ve had so far. When we arrived to pick up our rental car, the employee informed us that the vehicle we had reserved online was no longer available. Instead, the only option they offered was a Jeep, but we were told we had to pay an additional $15 per day to rent it. The employee also said that if we didn’t want to pay the extra charge, we could try another branch to see if they had the vehicle we originally reserved, or at least another car in the same price category.
