Hertz-Rockville Pike, Rockville MD location-- one of the WORST experiences with a person that is supposed to be there to help you. Argumentative, combative, rude, and not representative of any of Hertz core values: after a complete debacle with the call center folks the day before, the manager of this location, or person who was the one that did all of the talking when things went south, was belligerent, rude, uncooperative with me, and the Hertz Call Center when I tired to reach out to confirm what I was told the prior day ... read more
DO NOT USE - I booked a reservation and received a text confirmation. Luckily I thought to call before going to get my confirmed reserved car. They told me they have no cars, they would not honor my reservation, and they would not rebook me anywhere else (even though it was more than 3 hours until closing time for that location and other nearby locations). I called Hertz and an AI voice told me that it understood my frustration, but there was nothing Hertz could do if the location does not have a car.
This is the car they gave me: Dented everywhere, panels falling off and exposed electrical wires. Not to mention that the interior smelled like smoke. Terrible experience all around.
Arrived around 9 AM to find a sign that says they’ve stepped away. 15-18 mins later someone returned to let me know that they won’t have a car available until 2 PM when my reservation was 9:15 AM
