I’ve rented from Hertz numerous times, but this experience was especially disappointing. My reservation was moved to the Naperville office at the last minute because the Aurora location was apparently under staffed and closed. Staff apologized via phone and mentioned offering an upgrade or points for the inconvenience of driving out of my way. My in person experience did not align with this phone call. They used to be good. I've used them several times and the last 2 times was over charged. This last time, I didn't even get an invoice. Asked about the charges and got absolutely nothing.
I rented a car recently. When I put the key in the ignition I was not able to get it out. Had to have it towed back to them. When I went in to talk to I spoke to Daniel. I was never told this was a problem. He tried to put the blame on me. When I called him out on it he got very angry and rude. Did nothing to help me with this proble. I had to go to Customer service and let them know of the proble. They are crediting me for the day and cancelling the rest of the reservation. When I originally rented the car I didn’t leave town until the following day and when I made it to my destination I called in and reported the the tank wasn’t full the car smelled like weed when I turned on the heat so I was cold because I couldn’t turn on the heat a speaker was blown and I couldn’t enjoy any music because of the crackling sound and that the breaks were grinding they told me to go to the airport to swap out the car when I got to the airport I was treated so rudely I was in tears I had a car full of luggage a... read more
