Rented a car for a 9:30 pickup, arrived at 9:25 and was told they had "no cars" here or anywhere in the city and that it would be an hour+ wait. The rep could not explain why there was a delay ("that's not my job") and did not provide any discount or compensation for the delay.
This was hands down one of the worst rental car experiences I’ve ever had. The Hertz location on Ellis Street in San Francisco is completely disorganized and unprofessional. We had an 8:30 AM reservation, yet when we arrived, we were told it would be a 3-hour wait. When we mentioned we had a reservation, the employee bluntly said, “Yep, I know — that doesn’t matter.
