Abusive staff, fake policies, and blatant discrimination. After making us wait in an empty office for a prepaid reservation, staff yelled at customers to wait outside in the heat, and a female employee made explicit discriminatory comments about my "culture." Management then retaliated by skipping us in line and refusing to give us our prepaid car. It took almost one hour to get the car. Avoid this location at all costs.

Would give zero stars if possible. Not by fault of the desk staff, this place is a terrible experience. I had an insurance claim/rental pre-arranged and showed up with just 4 people ahead of me. All in, it took about 3 hours to get a car. You wait on the sidewalk and gradually become more and more upset by the empty office and generally irritated energy, then slowly learn that the only thing worse than waiting for a car here, is working here. The posted rate was $300 less than surrounding Hertz locations and the reason they can do that is that there wasn’t any cars. Was told by a very tired looking German family that they had been waiting in the sun for an hour and the line hadn’t moved. Was then told it would be 3 hours before we had a car So we jumped in an Uber and went to the Fishermans Wharf location with a car in under 15 mins but $300 out of pocket. The location also looks like a doss house I thought we were being scammed (and we kind of were).

45 mins wait - staff refused to allow more than one group in at a time so queued in the street - car booked (and paid) not available - downgraded, not washed, only half full of fuel.
