Walked in for a same day rental and was told that I needed a credit card although their machine doesn't know the difference between debit and credit. Was told to go to U-haul to rent a vehicle instead. Was going to use this company from now on for my rentals but Enterprise is worth the few extra dollars and location being out of my way; they were able to take care of me within an hour of me calling and I used a debit card. What a shame this experience was at Hertz.
Terrible terrible terrible. Use anyone but them!!! Made a reservation online, walked 8 miles because my car broke down and my Uber was acting up. Get to the location and am told that reservations can only be paid for in credit…. Strictly credit. No reason as to why but only credit cards are accepted. Well I don’t own or have any credit cards and was told that the only way I could use a debit card is to pick the vehicle up Tomorrow. No same day pick up with debit cards. Thanks Hertz
