Hertz Is a Joke — Reservations Mean Absolutely Nothing Hertz is hands-down one of the most unreliable companies I’ve ever dealt with. We booked a MINIVAN weeks in advance—very clearly, very intentionally—because we needed space for six people. This was not optional, not flexible, and not a last-minute booking. Reserved a car through Hertz customer service, arrived to be told there were no cars available. No calls or emails were ever received despite being told otherwise. This happened while we were preparing to travel for my husband’s mother’s funeral, which made the lack of communication and empathy even more upsetting. Staff showed no apology or concern. Very disappointing experience, would not recommend.
