Rented a vehicle one way for less than 24 hours. Returned the vehicle at this location at HSV and four days later received a bill $1600 dollars over my original statement. Reason - the car was reportedly returned in Atlanta almost four days after my return. So somehow Hertz managed to lose the vehicle for three days and sent me a bill for the time they lost it in their system, and now I'm having to fight to rectify the situation. I recently used Hertz for a 1 way rental. I picked it up at the airport, they said I had to drop it off at the designated location. I told them I'm going to purchase a vehicle and may end up bring the rental back instead, if I didn't buy the car. They said, ok, you just need to call. I didn't buy the vehicle, I called Hertz 800#, they said they couldn't help I had to talk to the airport location. The airport location does not take phone calls. This location is non responsive to its renters and Hertz corporate cannot help you because they claim this is a “private” location. This Hertz charge me an additional $230 after I returned the vehicle for charges they did not specify when I picked up the car. I have been trying to get ahold of them for over a week and they do not answer or correct their mistakes.
