I was completely happy with the pickup at the Gerald R Ford international airport in Grand Rapids from Hertz. Completely happy with the pricing and the people working the counter late at night. My drive 40 plus miles to my home was satisfying and easy. The next a.m., went to start the vehicle to return the vehicle to the Grand Rapids Ford airport and it would not start! The car was an 1 hour and 40 minutes late when we picked up the car because they were "cleaning" the car. The car was disgusting on the inside; not vacuumed, salty foot prints in the seats, left over food on the floor and in the seats and the front windshield on the inside was so dirty you couldn't see out the window due a dirty film on the window.
There is NO Hertz Gold pick up. The wait line is over an hour. They are understaffed and they run out of cars. I recommend AVIS or another agency. AVIS Advantage is availalble at GRR. I did not get a car from Hertz due to them giving me the wrong car, so I rented from AVIS. HOWEVER, HERTZ HAS THE GALL TO CHARGE ME FOR A RENTAL CAR THAT I DID NOT PICK UP! The car is awesome and service is great the inky thing is the car wasnt properly cleaned so there were stuff under seats and inbetween seatseverything else is great nice job guys
Hertz in the Detroit Airport is fantastic. The line was short. The women behind the counter were amazing. They had us driving off in minutes, in a clean, sharp Honda Accord. Great experience
