I reserved a car online, but later received a call from a rude Hertz representative stating that my vehicle was unavailable—despite it still being listed as available on the website. When I asked why the site wasn't updated, she became even ruder and began making threats. No wonder Hertz is on the verge of bankruptcy!
Our Hertz rental is our worst ever rental experience by far. The staff at Folsom assured us multiple times that we had 30 minutes grace for the drop off to San Francisco airport, as we knew we could be a few minutes late. It turned out that we actually arrived 7 minutes late but well within the 30 minutes grace time, and were subsequently immediately charged a full extra day for all the vehicle charges, taxes extras etc including insurance (taken from our card). 1-Star Review: Unprofessional Staff & Fraudulent Damage Claim threat. I am beyond disappointed with my experience at the Hertz Folsom location. Generally a good experience with the rental. I do enjoy the benefits of being a gold club member and having access to the "Managers special" One thing I would like to recommend your company do. If for some reason a Hertz employee can't pick up or drop someone off that you offer to pay $20-$25 towards a ride share (Lyft, Uber, etc) I know some car dealerships do this and the customers are generally happy about it.
