Made a reservation for Monday morning. Was unable to get in touch with them to pick me up. State Farm recommended Hertz. I will never use Hertz in Evanston. They either dropped the call or didn’t answer.

I had to pay a toll of $8.80 to enter the Chicago Skyway, in spite of having purchased the Plate Pass toll package. On the return trip I avoided the tollway completely so as not to incur this charge again; this resulted in heavy traffic and delays. All of the other tolls were fine.
DO NOT RENT HERE AT THIS LOCATION - WARNING! As a President’s Circle member and loyal Hertz customer, I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Hertz Evanston location. Despite booking directly through Hertz customer service, I arrived only to be rudely told by two employees that there were no vehicles available.
