I had a very poor customer experience at Hertz due to the behavior of the front-desk associate who initially assisted me. From the moment I approached the counter, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. I asked a few basic questions regarding my reservation and vehicle options, and instead of providing clear answers, she responded with a short, irritated tone and seemed bothered that I even asked. If you ever need a rental, see Darius at the Hartsel location. He was kind, helpful, warm and a genuinely honest man. My husband recently passed away, so I am now having to do things I haven't done in 20 years. Darius made the process a breeze and took the time to make sure I was comfortable with everything. His smile lights up the lobby and the kindness in his voice is unmistakable and so very appreciated!!
I wanted to shoutout Darius who works at this Hertz location. He was incredibly helpful when working through my rental reservation. He also went the extra mile to brainstorm with me when I had to return my rental vehicle and find another solution through my dealership who is fixing my vehicle. RENTER BEWARE. This particular Hertz location gave me the worst experience I've ever had renting a car. Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a customer, period. The staff here are deceitful, and care more about getting their commission or whatever than about you. Particularly the manager, Carina Agustin, who I can only assume was a highway robber in a past life.
