Booked online with the expectation of paying $97 for one day rental. And I’m informed in the office that the charge will actually be $277 AND I have to put it on my credit card not my bank card. Which makes zero sense to me. And when I asked if a different vehicle is available sense the reasoning they gave was it was because of the vehicle type they said no !! No matter getting a direct price that was secured online booking.!! I’ll never book with Hertz again. Poor customer service- poor management- poor business model.
They canceled my reservation at the last minute leaving me scrambling for a ride. Will not use them again.
We reserved a car and prepaid for it in advance. They rented our car to someone else in spite of us having a prepaid reservation bc our flight got delayed. They told us there was a 2-hour window to pick it up. Incorrect. There's a 48-hour hold on pre-paid reservations, not that it mattered. Chris told us if someone returned a car, we could have it but he didn't expect a return. At that point, a customer walked in to return their car. Upgraded vehicle for same price.
Never a Hertz guy until Enterprise ran out of cars. My experience this morning has been less than impressive and I've been sitting around for 55 minutes and still don't have a clean rental.
