I had a very disappointing experience at Hertz Honolulu. Our car booking was scheduled for 8:00 AM, but we didn’t receive the vehicle until 11:00 AM—wasting nearly 3 hours of our day. The customer service was extremely poor. There were only two staff members working at the counter, even though this location claims to be one of the busiest in North America. Hertz sucks. This time they charge for fuel even though I filled the car less than a mile from return spot. Last time they charged me for scratches on the rear bumper that were there when I picked the car up. They have been sued and lost multiple law suits, but apparently it’s more profitable to continue ripping off customers and paying the lawsuit fines.
Very use this company. Customer service was non-existent. They gave my car away forcing me to upgrade to a huge SUV at an additional cost. Drive was very stressful in this large SUV.
Had a reservation but couldn’t get a car at the scheduled pickup time. Kept being told to wait with no explanation. The staff member named Hiro had a very bad attitude, completely ignored customers, and offered no solution at all.
