The person working was great but Hertz tried to charge me for damage I didn’t cause a day after drop off (I think they have some automated system to try and detect damage later but that’s well after drop off it looks like based on time stamp and who knows what’s happening to the car until then). Always make sure to take pictures of or video the entire vehicle before pickup and after drop off (luckily I did) so you can prove it when they try to blame you.
Booking reservations is kind of pointless with this location. You will waste your time if you follow the reservation time and date because that doesn’t actually mean there is any chance of you having a rental. Just wanting to warn all people that you should not follow any kind of reservation time or rely on that for a car rental. Seems like you also have a better chance of getting a car if you call for a reservation and just void the website.
Hertz is okay as long as you don’t have a problem. However if you do have a problem then you are on your own as there is no way to contact them.
Looking at previous reviews, I was a bit worried about the experience. However, the car pick up process was smooth.
Rented a car from this location last week. It had 1/2 a tank of gas at pick-up. We returned it at the same level and were charged $50.25 and cannot contact any customer service agent at this location or nationally by phone. Have submitted online documentation and no one has contacted us yet. Extremely frustrating experience. It took a few days but they did finally refund my card for the erroneous fuel charge.
