DO NOT RENT WITH HERTZ. They don’t have a direct line to speak to someone. All they have is a chat box. You have to wait 30+ minutes for a live agent. I finally got a live agent and was typing my response during which the chat ended due to 1 min of inactivity. This is very frustrating. I am being charged $100 everyday after the return of the car. I returned the car 1 hour before it was due and with a full tank of gas. No one has tried contacting me or sending me an email. I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO HERTZ. This is ridiculous... read more

The condition of car was quite poor. The left and right side mirror were completely different type, left one has really wide angle(expanded reflection) and right side has regular. This mirror setting seems to reflect typical preference but not ordinary. This mismatch made difficult to recognize the car behind me and negatively impact on safety. Additionally, the door latch was malfunction. Sometime the door would open but most time the door would not open and try to open close the latch many times. I think this inconsistency... read more

Had an issue with who the car reservation was under and instead of offering some sort of help or what we should do next, all the employee said was “there’s nothing we can do there’s nothing we can do.” Tried calling manager several times right after that interaction and it kept going to voicemail. I can understand if it was my mistake and had to shell out extra to fix the reservation, but the problem is that it genuinely felt like the team didn’t want to deal with me. She wasn’t even looking at her computer to try and help. ... read more

Finally arrived after dealing with an over 3 hour flight delay only to be told they don't have any cars...even though I have a reservation. What is the purpose of a reservation if you're not going to keep or hold the car??? If you rent your vehicles to walk-ups there should be a plan to go retrieve those cars from Dallas/Houston/San Antonio for people who need a vehicle when they arrive after they've made a reservation. Hertz "commitment to service" is an absolute joke.

Plan on taking 30 minutes to get out of the lot, if they even have a car for you.
