At first I thought the negative reviews here were exaggerated, but it seems like bad experiences are the norm at this location! Horrible staff unwilling to help. Manager Hugh is trying his best, but we had an extremely rude woman whose response to a question about a duplicative charge for $226 on my credit card was, “Well, I’ll just let the manager tell you” and accused me of never having rented a car before. Boy, this place sucks. There’s like two employees and only a handful of us wanting to get our rentals. One the employees (wearing oldskool homie style flannel, jeans and sunglasses) got upset that we have luggage. If they were faster, our luggage would be in the back of the rental car FYI. The Ellis Street Hertz Car Rental location Team is a great team to work with! Professional, friendly, and caring.
Do not use this Hertz Location. Worst rental experience ever. The car we rented was not ready when we arrived. My teenage daughter and I were told to ‘ walk around for an hour’ and the Manager would call us when our car was ready. No one called. When we returned to the rental location they had sent out every other customer and they only had one vehicle which was not at all what we had rented. We were told to ‘take it or leave it’.
