One of the best car rental experiences I’ve had. I got this super nice 2024 Rav 4 with heavy duty all weather mats including cargo!! Which was super nice for my winter trip. The car was in great shape and clean. The employees were super nice, picked up the car super fast. I personally declined any additional add-ons and the employees were understanding and still super nice. Ended up dropping it off at the airport with only a $25 drop fee, super convenient. Refused on honor my reservation, new "Alaska Locals" policy requiring a utility bill and proof of full coverage insurance. Not required for tourists. The reservation email only says DL and CC are necessary, no notification of new policy. They left me stranded without a car, had to get a cab to Enterprise. Didn't matter that I have 5-Star status and have previously rented with no issues.
Terrible location. My car was not ready when I came to pick it up, even though I booked in advance. I got no upgrade (President’s circle) and the car had “maintenance required” error the whole time.
I’m renting cars in North America for 20 yrs, I was never scammed through a reputable names Hertz/Thrifty. They completely rip you off with the final charge they make through your CC. They don’t email receipt. You need to call them back to get it. I was charged 500USD extra (total rental cost 1500USD for 3 days) and all are hidden fees. Please pay in cash or get the receipt before you leave the location. As we will be in hurry to drop or get car before or after cruising we may think this is legitimate business like any other... read more
